Join us on a Hollywood Glamour and Film Noir portrait lighting workshop, recreating the distinctive visual style of the sophisticated and mysterious heroine of the old movies.

Film noir in photography describes the kind of dark, moody and dramatic images that mimic the look and feel of dark scenes from movies made in the 40s, 50s and 60s. The composition and lighting are quite specific and give these images a bold look. There is a huge contrast between the darks and the lights, and the shadows are dramatic. Most of the time, the subject would be partially thrown into darkness revealing only parts of them. Atmospheric shadows cast by the strong lighting help create a mysterious effect.
We have a great selection of props, accessories and outfits prepared for this shoot.
