Create high impact images by playing with light and shadows. Low-key lighting is all about creating drama, showing off the lines, curves and shapes of your subject, adding depth and intimacy, or abstracting your model.
Back- and side-lighting is recommended, and by careful adjustment of both your lights and the model’s pose you can fine-tune the final image.
Don’t miss this opportunity to create something special for your portfolios and to build experience working with studio lights and modifiers: check your calendars and sign up soon!
The model for this shoot will be Mel – she’s an experienced model working up to art nude levels. You can check her portfolio below:
A professional photography studio near Stratford. Different backgrounds, light modifiers and props available.
The lights will be setup in advance, but you are free to experiment with them (and I’ll be there all the time for help).
Parking places are available nearby the studio.
Book one or more slots for yourself, for only £75/h.
You’ll be shooting 1-2-1 with the model, allowing you to direct her and to get original poses and photos for your portfolio. No more ‘stolen’ ideas, no pressure to only have 5 minutes to take that special shot!
